Printed Raw Designs created a Top Cover for the CC1 with the Canvas system installed. Overall, it’s a model that works quite well as‑is when downloaded (the joints might be a bit tight, but they fit properly with a bit of force😅).

The issue is that the hollow windows meant to hold the acrylic sheets are designed for the imperial system, and in Europe it’s hard to find sheets in those dimensions. I’ve modified the blind windows to create a slot for 100×100 mm acrylic sheets, which are much easier to source in my country. The viewing area is slightly smaller than the original, but I think they still serve their purpose.

I printed them with supports (if you use PLA or your printer can make good bridges, you might be able to print the model without supports) and PETG. They’re a bit tedious to remove, but the result is quite good. It’s important to take the precaution of removing the protective film from the acrylic sheets after inserting them into their slot, to prevent any support residue from scratching them.

In the future, I’m planning to modify the Canvas mounting piece to add a fifth slot for a PTFE tube, so I can feed technical materials or TPU directly without going through the Canvas. For now, I’ll disconnect one of the Canvas tubes and guide it through whenever I need to do so.
