This works with the Sunlu V2 reusable spools they started selling back in 2024-ish. As far as I'm aware, Sunlu never sold refills for these spools.

This features a compact design that locks securely in place. Allows the use of Bambu spool refills on these old spools. 

Many manufacturers now produce Bambu-compatible refills. 

Compatibility Notes

I know there are many sub-variants of these V2 Sunlu spools. I've tried with the varieties I have but if you have issues please just let me know.
 

Use with my adapter ring for these spools to match the diameter of Bambu spools and the rotation rate the AMS expects.

Compatible with my high air flow spool desiccant holder.

Instructions

1. First attach the Bambu Spool Spacer to the smaller side of the Sunlu spool. It has the little Bambu positioning tab

   

2. Next attach the Banlu Spool Spacer / Lock Ring

   There's a small triangular notch for the tab that should be aligned with the Bambu spool positioning tab. This will be a snug fit. Make sure to line it up carefully and push down evenly until it is fully seated.

   

3. Attach the Banlu Lock Ring on the other side. Rotate clockwise to lock. This may take a little force.

   

4. Verify the lock ring is secure

   

5. Line up the Bambu refill

   

6. [Optional] Install the spacer on the opposite spool half

   

7. Line up the other side. Look for the notch on the outside, it should be rotated slightly to the left of the NFC tag. You can also look on the inside. The tabs on the spool interior should line up with slots on the adapter.

   

8. Press together and twist until you clicks into place to lock. If everything is lined up correctly the position of the two sides should match

9. Verify everything is fitting together snugly with no gaps between the refill cardboard and the spool side wall before removing the plastic straps.
