My main complaint with existing designs are that you have to choose between a fast print and a strong print. The popular fast-printing ‘basket weave’ designs have very poor strength and all of the ones I've printed have either twisted apart in my hands or cracked open when I accidentally dropped it. The stronger designs always have tons of retractions that take a long time to print. I also I got tired of dealing with multiple canister sizes for different spool dimensions.
I've carefully laid out a double-wall design that prints as continuous lines with few retractions. Very small slots allow the canister to hold even small shards of silica.
Features:

- Each layer of the canister is continuous walls, reduces the number of retractions that take more time.
- Air-gapped double-wall design provides strength while being highly permeable.
- Cap and spool lock are separate pieces - no risk of unscrewing the the canister and dumping out desiccant when removing from spool.
- Larger gap in spool and around spool lock to improve air exchange when placed in sealed bag.

Notes on hygrometer version
Hygrometer version prints with un-supported interior bridges. The bottom side of the bridge will look ugly with occasional strands that did not attach or bridge correctly. This does not affect the strength of the print. I have it oriented such that the bottom of the bridge faces the hygrometer and his hidden from view.
The wall between the hydrometer and desiccant is solid and not air-permeable. This is by design to improve the accuracy of the hygrometer readings. When placed adjacent to the desiccant hygrometer readings will skew low.
