Chongqing Jiefangbei Miniature Model

This model takes Chongqing’s landmark building, the People’s Liberation Monument, as its prototype. By combining 3D printing with a disassembled modular design, the structure is faithfully reproduced, paying tribute to the spirit of the War of Resistance and the city’s collective memory. As China’s only monument commemorating the victory of the Chinese nation in the Anti-Japanese War, Jiefangbei embodies national glory and the imprint of an era; this miniature version captures its solemn grandeur and keeps the warmth of history alive.

While preserving the original octagonal columnar structure, the four main components—the pedestal, base, shaft, and clock tower—are carefully disassembled layer by layer. Through a modular assembly design, we have strived to retain as many details as possible to showcase the monument’s dignified appearance. The pedestal, base, and shaft are aligned and assembled using intermediate alignment points, while the clock tower at the top can be assembled independently. All components are designed for easy disassembly to simplify the printing process.

The shaft features a coffee-colored decorative band encircling the monument, with four relief sculptures—depicting workers, farmers, army personnel, and naval and air force members—at the top. These are complemented by four clocks printed in different colors: the outer frame is silk gold, while the inner dial is matte white—honoring diverse contributions and the marks of the times.

Scene setting: The base platform includes flower beds and miniature street lamps, with the flower beds featuring a fuzzy surface to enhance the texture of the plants.

In addition, a standing sign reading “I’m in Chongqing” has been designed to create a serene and solemn commemorative atmosphere.

Today, after 76 years of weathering storms, Jiefangbei stands tall in the mountain city, witnessing the passage of time and the city’s rebirth. This model is more than just a reproduction of an architectural masterpiece—it is a contemplation of history: a reminder of the glorious past and a tribute to today’s achievements. May it serve as a bridge between the past and the future, allowing profound history to gently weave itself into everyday life.

We dedicate this work to all who cherish history and hold it in high regard.

1. Assembly Instructions:

During assembly, glue will be used to secure the connections between components for added stability. Please refer to the assembly video posted on Bilibili. If possible, we’d appreciate it if you could give us a triple thumbs-up—thank you for your support!

2. Printing Instructions:

Layer height: 0.20 mm; infill density: 10–15%; printing material: PLA;

No supports required;

Bed adhesion: Since some parts of the model are quite small, enabling the skirt feature can help improve print quality. Of course, you can adjust this setting according to your own preferences. (Friendly reminder: Make sure the print bed is clean and well-prepared to ensure strong adhesion and prevent print failures due to poor bonding. You can also slow down the print speed for better results.)

If you encounter any issues, please leave a comment or send me a private message—we’ll do our best to assist you. Thank you for your understanding!
