Description:

I decided to experiment with printing gear systems, creating a simple fidget spinner... to which, of course, I couldn't help but add a touch of bone, creating my own skull-and-bones fidget spinner, to match my matching hair combs ;)

Printing Instructions:

The slicer may indicate that support is needed, but it isn't actually required to complete the print. You may notice slight imperfections on the underside of some bones on the outer edge of the ring, but these defects are minimal and don't affect the function of the fidget spinner.

If you really want to remove these defects using support, make sure the slicer applies it only to the outer disk and not to the gears, as this could interfere with their rotation.

I loaded two print profiles: Standard 7cm and Large 10cm. The first is recommended for children, due to their smaller hands, while the third is for those with very long fingers.

Assembly Instructions:

No assembly required, as the model is designed to be printed fully assembled (print-in-place).

Post-processing:

Once removed from the print bed, simply hold the center of the fidget spinner with your thumb and forefinger and apply a little force to the outer ring with your other hand to release it. I recommend rotating it for a bit to fully release it and make the rotation smoother.

You can spray a few drops of lubricant on the gears to make the rotation even smoother: silicone spray or WD40 should do the trick. I recommend consuming sparingly, to avoid spraying lubricant everywhere when turning the gears.
