The Hundred Lions Pavilion in the Former Residence of Hu Xueyan in Hangzhou—perhaps many of you are not very familiar with this historic site;

   The Former Residence of Hu Xueyan is located on Yuanbao Street, in the eastern part of the Dajing Lane Historical and Cultural Preservation Area along Hefang Street in Hangzhou. It was built in the eleventh year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1872), precisely during the peak of Hu Xueyan’s career. The construction of this grand mansion took three years and was completed in 1875. Upon completion, the residence stood as a stunning architectural masterpiece that seamlessly blended traditional Chinese design with Western influences. The building stretches north–south and east–west, covering an area of 10.8 mu, with a total floor space of 5,815 square meters. Both its architecture and the exquisite materials used for its interior furnishings earned it the reputation as the premier luxury residence among China’s wealthiest merchants at the end of the Qing dynasty.

  This is a multi-colored assembly model that faithfully recreates the Hundred Lions Pavilion within the former residence. It uses minimal materials and is easy to assemble, while the vibrant color scheme makes it even more compact and charming. We hope you’ll enjoy it.

  The entire model is assembled using glue. The small blue components represent glazed glass windows, which are quite miniature; careful handling is required during assembly. Alternatively, you can skip the blue parts altogether to create an openwork effect, which also looks very attractive.

  Please give it a thumbs-up if you like it!

  Due to the large number of small blue components, assembly can be particularly tricky. To address this, we’ve added an optional configuration: for those with access to multi-color printing, the windows and blue glass can be produced in one piece. Since the blue coating is only applied to the surface, the material usage remains minimal, making it a convenient choice for everyone.

  The item comes packaged in an 8x8 gift box purchased online, complete with a printed nameplate, making it a lovely little gift in its own right.
