Whetstone bracket

This angle-setting bracket is specifically designed for sharpening knives. Its core function is to provide a fixed, precise bevel angle for the whetstone, enabling stable and accurate blade sharpening—making it an indispensable tool for hand-sharpening enthusiasts!
Core Principle and Function
Key Pain Points Addressed
The biggest challenge with traditional handheld sharpening is unstable angle control: even slight hand tremors can cause the cutting edge to be ground crookedly, resulting in asymmetrical bevels and reduced sharpness over time. This bracket uses a mechanical design to lock the whetstone at a precisely calibrated bevel angle, ensuring that the blade’s edge remains in constant contact with the stone at a uniform angle throughout the sharpening process. Even beginners can achieve professional-grade sharpness.
Structural Design Details
Inclined Base: The heart of the bracket is a base with a fixed bevel angle that supports the whetstone, creating a stable inclined surface and determining the final grinding angle (common household models typically offer 15°–20°, suitable for Chinese kitchen knives and fruit knives).
Front Stop Edge: The raised protrusion at the front of the blue bracket shown in the diagram serves to secure the whetstone, preventing it from sliding back and forth during sharpening and enhancing overall stability.
3D Printing Process: Utilizing FDM 3D printing, this custom-designed structure can be perfectly tailored to the exact dimensions of your whetstone, ensuring a snug, gap-free fit.
Correct Usage Instructions
Secure the Whetstone: Place the whetstone steadily on the bracket’s inclined surface and use the front stop edge to hold it firmly in place, ensuring no wobbling.
Position on the Work Surface: Place the bracket—with the whetstone attached—on a flat, stable work surface, with the inclined surface facing upward.
Sharpen at the Correct Angle: Press the blade’s edge firmly against the whetstone, keeping the blade parallel to the bracket’s inclined surface, and smoothly push and pull along the length of the stone. Throughout the process, there’s no need to manually adjust the angle.
Sharpen Both Sides: After finishing one side, flip the blade over and repeat the process to achieve symmetrical, razor-sharp edges.
