Sub-irrigated (self-watering) planter insert compatible with my 4" / 100mm square planter bins

IMPORTANT: The float indicator is printed mostly single-wall to reduce weight. Make sure you thoroughly dry and calibrate your filament to ensure it is water tight.

 

There are two versions of this insert

  • Fill hole cutout with an optional floating water level indicator is included.
  • No fill hole (for designs that can hold multiple inserts)

On the bottom of the insert there are built-in break-away support panels. You should be able to snap them off easily. The base of the planter is configured to print as a mesh to help prevent root rot and allow for air pruning.

Any square planter can be scaled up to fit. I will be updating with print profiles to match this and other insert sizes.
