This is a bed scraper / print removal tool designed to safely and efficiently remove prints from build plates.
The handle features a hexagonal (honeycomb) grip pattern for improved ergonomics and a modern look — the textured surface gives a secure, non-slip hold even when your hands are dusty or slightly oily.
What’s New in V2?
While the original Hex-Grip was great for downward pressure, this V2 edition introduces Lateral Traction Grooves on the sides of the handle.
- Better Control: The side ridges prevent your fingers from slipping when applying force sideways.
- Improved Ergonomics: A more secure hold means less fatigue when removing stubborn, large surface area prints.
- Refined Design: Retains the beloved hex aesthetic but with a functional mechanical upgrade.
Key Features
- Dual-Textured Grip: Hex pattern on top + new traction grooves on sides for a 360° secure hold.
- Safe Blade Geometry: The chamfered edge is designed to get under prints without scratching your PEI or Glass build plates (unlike metal scrapers).
- 100% Printable: No support structures needed. Just print and use.
- Robust Construction: Designed to withstand repeated use in a workshop environment.
⚙ Recommended Print Settings
This tool is designed to be printed flat on the build plate.
- Material: PETG is highly recommended for flexibility and durability. PLA is okay for light use, but PETG/ABS is better for a workshop tool.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.2mm (0.16mm yields smoother chamfers).
- Perimeters (Walls): 3 or 4 perimeters (Essential for blade stiffness).
- Infill: 25-40% Gyroid or Grid.
- Supports: NONE.
