Blooming Flower is a compact mechanical desk sculpture that brings motion to a simple plant form. By twisting the base of the flowerpot, the internal mechanism activates and the petals unfold smoothly.
The movement is driven by a rotating base that turns an internal screw, which meshes with a guided component connected directly to the leaves. As the screw advances, it converts rotational motion into linear movement, causing the petals to articulate outward evenly. Reversing the twist closes the flower again, allowing the bloom cycle to be repeated again and again.

please use the 3mf print profile and just change the machine to which ever one you are using,
supports are required but too many will prevent the mechanism from moving correctly, the ones in the 3mf are placed so that they can be removed easily and not prevent the mechanism from working

once printed remove all supports including those in the bottom where there is a cut-out to allow for easy support removal
then line up the shape of the centre of the pot and the centre guide on the flowers, as you push it into the pot spin the bottom and the flowers should catch on and start moving.
once in most of the way click the petals into place at the top of the pot
