The aircraft falls under theSouth Heaven Gate Projectair combat system [1] [7]. The Type B model made its debut at the 15th China Airshow in November 2024, featuring a 22‑meter fuselage, a duck‑billed nose design, and twin vertical stabilizers. With a maximum speed of Mach 16 and leveraging advanced scramjet engine technology, the aircraft is capable of conducting fully autonomous operations both within and beyond Earth’s atmosphere, as well as executing multi‑layer orbital maneuvering flights.
