I made these miniature displays with a space to stick a 1 eurocent coin, which is ferromagnetic. 

I have a small magnet on each base so there is no risk of them falling, and at the same time I can stack them in a ladder formation and then color and decorate the miniature holder based on the theme of the miniatures.
