Pumpkin Vortex Passthrough – Decorative Fall Edition
This festive vortex model is fun to print and even more fun to use. I really enjoy this one because of its decorative features and all-around clean look. It’s an easy print—especially when the right settings are applied—and it makes a great seasonal desk piece or gift.Color Tips:
For a bold contrast, print the pumpkin part in orange and the vortex part in green.
Another great option: print most of the inner vortex in orange, then insert a color change near the top and finish with green. This layered effect adds depth and visual appeal.

 

Print Settings:

  • Infill:
    • Pumpkin: 10%–75%
    • Vortex: 0%–10%
  • Infill Type: Gyroid
  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm recommended
  • Brim: Optional
    • Especially helpful on Smooth PEI sheets
  • Supports: No
    • A well-calibrated printer handles it easily
  • Filament: PLA

Advanced Tip:
Using PrusaSlicer? Go to Print Settings → Advanced → XY Size Compensation and set it to -0.1 mm. This improves fit and tolerances.
