The BitClip Mini is a compact and minimalist bit holder designed for the TheSummit wallet by @revere521, a 3D printed wallet that uses rubber bands to secure cards and cash. It was designed in Fusion 360 and adds everyday utility without compromising the slim design of your wallet.
It holds two standard 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex screwdriver bits—the most common size used across a wide range of tools. The idea behind this project came from a practical need: carrying around a full-sized bit holder or a multi-tool with a dedicated bit carrier usually requires a bulky belt pouch. That's not always ideal, especially when you want to travel light.
This is a minimalist solution designed to carry only the two bits you actually use the most, whether that’s a Philips and flathead combo or any other pair that fits your needs. Now you can always have them on hand without needing to carry your entire tool kit or multi-tool setup.
Key Features:
- Dual Bit Slots: Stores two standard-size 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex bits securely side-by-side.
- Snap-fit Detents: Small overhangs inside the walls keep the bits from popping up or out unintentionally.
- Magnetic Retention: A small central magnet holds the bits in place laterally, preventing them from slipping out the sides.
- Clip-on Design: Attaches to one of the wallet’s rubber bands without adding bulk or obstructing access to cards.
- EDC Ready: Tailored for minimalist everyday carry setups.
Printing Details:
- Material: PETG
- Filament: Elegoo Black PETG
- Printer: Creality Ender 3 V1 (mostly stock)
- Layer Height: 0.08 mm (I wanted the best resolution, however, 0.16 mm + adaptive layer hight should do)
- Infill: 100% (for rigidity and long-term durability)
- Supports: Use normal supports for the magnet hole and clip.
- Orientation: Print as seen in all of the pictures.
Assembly & Use:
Insert a small neodymium magnet into the central magnet cavity (6 x 3 mm; glue may help).
Snap in your two most-used 1/4" (6.35 mm) bits.
Clip the holder onto your wallet band and you’re done.
This is a great EDC companion that blends seamlessly into your existing wallet setup—no belt pouch, no extra bulk, just practical functionality.
