Model Description

This is a complex mount for the EMAX ES08MD servo, designed to provide additional stability and versatile mounting options compared to the simpler version. The design includes reinforced sidewalls, slotted holes for adjustment, and a hinged top feature that allows for pivoting or attaching linked components. It is ideal for robotics, animatronics, and RC projects where both strength and motion flexibility are required.

 

The mount is engineered to be print-friendly, offering good structural strength while maintaining a lightweight design. The added mounting points give users flexibility to attach the servo in different orientations or integrate it into more advanced mechanisms.

 

Printing Requirements

 

  • Print orientation: Flat base on the print bed for maximum adhesion and accuracy
  • Recommended layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Recommended infill: 30–40% for strength
  • Supports required (for the hinge area and overhangs)

 

 

Assembly Instructions

 

  1. Print the mount using PLA, PETG, or ABS (PETG recommended for durability under stress).
  2. Insert the servo into the central cavity and secure with screws through the provided slots.
  3. Use the hinge feature for pivoting elements (e.g., arms, brackets) or secure it in place depending on your design needs.
  4. Attach the mount to your chassis, frame, or project base with standard M2/M3 fasteners.
