World of Warcraft Arathi Basin Horde Banner.

If you are just like me – World of Warcraft classic times fan, who spent hours and hours fighting in AB to keep this banner up as long as possible, I think you may be interested in having one on your desk! And as long as you don’t have Alliance Agent at your home, tomorrow it should be there even without prottecting it :)

About the model:
18cm tall, 9.7cm wide. Perfect desk size.
All model parts (except ACE Pro / AMS / CFS version for coloring) are 3mf - just import them to slicer same way as STL.

How to print:

Version 1 – Print in single color. This model can be later hand painted as mine on the pictures.

Version 2 – No ACE/AMS color print. You may use ACE/AMS but color only red and black part, for white color switch filament as descibed below.

Version 3 – Color print with ACE Pro / AMS / CFS

Banner:

ACE/AMS - Prepare red, black and white filament for the banner.

No ACE/AMS – Prepare red and white filament. Black part need to hand painted.

In Bambu Studio (or your favourite slicer), set pause at layer 3 and at layer 6. Filament change will not work for printers without AMS, Bambu Studio not adding M600 command to gcode. M601 is good enough, so we change our filaments after pause manually :)

ACE/AMS – Color red and black parts as they both as the same layers. Switch filament for white frame at layer 3 and back to red/black at layer 6.

No ACE/AMS – Start with red filament. Switch to white at layer 3. At layer 6 switch back to red. Black part need to be hand painted. You may leave it red if you want.

Do not use any support.

Stand:

Prepare gray/silver/marble and brown/wooden filament for the stand. Set layer height at 0.2mm.

In Bambu Studio set pause at layer 244. During printing start with gray/silver/marble and after pause change it with brown/wooden filament and continue with it to the end.

Hangers:

Slice them without any filament change and print with brown/wooden filament. Use auto orient for easy print without support or place them in hanging orientation for stronger connector using support. I recommend 2nd option as I already snapped one connector after „auto orient” print.

Version 3 – Color print with ACE Pro / AMS / CFS

In download section find banner file descibed as „AMS – Flat Horde Banner”. Even if it looks completely flat in major STL viewers, it hase separate faces that let you paint them in different colors. Import model to Bambu Studio or other slicer with coloring function. In "Prepare" tab find "Color Painting" (shortcut key "N" in Bambu Studio) then in the option switch to "Fill". Now zoom over front or back of "flat" object to see what happen :) Use red, white and black filament the way you see on the pictures.

As this model require 5 colors and single ACE / AMS provide only 4, place stand and hangers on separate plate and color it with grey/marble/silver and brown/wood.
