This vent solves the issue of letting the moisture released from the filament during drying escape the dryer itself. The vent is comprised of three parts, a front frame, back plate/ drilling template, and the slide door. I used painters tape to cover the plastic enclosure both front and back, then taped the template where I wanted it. Next I drilled holes for the m2x12 mounting screws on the far left and right. I temporarily put in the screws so my template wouldn't move, the pre-drilled the centers of the vent holes with the same small bit. Next I used a stepper drill bit to widen the holes to about 10mm. With all the scarry drilling into the lid done, I removed the template and tape, and moved the template to the inside while putting the siding door under the front frame on the outside. M2x12 screws and nuts were then used to hold everything together. Now I can open the vents all the way or partially to allow humid air from heating the filament to escape
