A parametric car/motorcycle license plate key chain designed to be printed on single filament printers with color change. Add a filament change in your slicer and swap the filament mid print in order to achieve a two color print.

Adding your text to the plate

• Option 1: Use the provided blender source files
  1. Open one of the files (car.blend or motorcycle.blend)
  2. Select the text you want to change
  3. Press “TAB” in order to enter edit mode
  4. Edit text
  5. Press “TAB” again to leave edit mode
  6. Export: “File > Export > Stl”
• Option 2: Add the text in your slicer (will use another font except you change it)
  1. Import one of the STLs (car_no_text.stl or motorcycle_no_text.stl)
  2. Add text as you want in your slicer
• Option 3: Use my print profiles (will use another font except you change it)
  1. Open the print profile
  2. Edit the texts

Recommended print settings

• Layer Height: 0.12mm
• Initial Layer Height: 0.24mm
• Print Thin Walls: Enabled
• No supports needed
• For multi color: Change filament just before layer 15

Assembly

• Add some sort of attachment (I recommend this chain (affiliate link) as seen in the image) to one spool cap
