The magnetic lock has a tight fit, so you won't need to glue in the magnet, but if you want to, that is an option too, the magnet hole has a tiny hole in addition to make it easier to the glue to get a grip, or if you want to reuse the magnet, you can use that hole with a needle to push the magnet out ;)
