This Biomaterial Experimentation Kit offers a practical and innovative approach to responsible design in a world that increasingly demands sustainable solutions. Aligned with the circular economy principles, digital manufacturing, and open-source collaboration, this kit empowers users to create their own biomaterials and derived products using modular triangular molds.

Why Choose This Kit?
Designed for accessibility and efficiency, the kit uses FDM 3D printing with PLA bioplastic, offering a sustainable and functional solution. Each triangular mold is optimized for experimenting with solid biomaterials, specifically biocomposites, to create unique structures and products based on the user's creativity.

Tips for Success:
Demolding Recommendation: Apply a thin layer of Vaseline or a similar release agent to ensure easy removal of the material from the mold.

Material Cooling:
For 3mm molds and textured molds, allow the biomaterial to cool completely before demolding to prevent deformation, add weight after demolding
For 9mm molds, allow the material to dry overnight before removing it to ensure it maintains its shape, add weight after demolding

Biomaterial Recipes: Explore a variety of recipes a https://commons.materiom.org to experiment with different biocomposites.
