It is based on a custom Smith & Wesson Model 29 but as its development progressed it became more of its own thing, a Wiimote Edition, I guess.
I forgot to add that two elastic bands are required and you need the tension on the trigger band to be higher than the hammer one, or it won't reset properly.
I printed using PLA (and some PLA+) for the test versions, the silver pictured version was printed in PLA Silk and it looks good in the photo but is brittle in comparison. I was pulling the test versions apart and back together many times and managed not to break any clips off but the silk was not up to it.
This really makes me wonder if I could incorporate some kind of heavier recoil effect into a future Wii weapon.
