Introduction:

No prototype, no inspiration—just a freestyle result. Hilarious!

This is the 16th piece in my mini retractable sword series. It was modeled in PL (Plasticitys Plastic City), printed as a single part with no assembly required, taking about 2 hours to print. The dimensions are just right, making it suitable for both adults and kids. I plan to keep expanding this series.

It’s been ages since I last used PL—I’ve completely forgotten all the keyboard shortcuts. Hilarious!

Print Settings: 8% spiral infill, seam alignment, no brim, standard supports (hand-drawn), and other typical settings.

Notes:

1. We recommend printing only one sword at a time to minimize the risk of failure.

2. The base of the retractable sword model is quite small. To prevent warping or layer misalignment caused by uneven adhesion, please clean the build plate, apply adhesive spray or coating, and raise the bed temperature by 5°C.

3. If the first few layers stick together tightly and you can’t finish printing, gently pry them apart using a craft knife.

4. If a particular section doesn’t extend smoothly, it may be due to slight material extrusion issues or layer misalignment. Try extending it several times—it should work out fine.

5. This test was conducted exclusively with PLA. If you use PETG, there’s a chance of sticking or overly tight gaps that could affect retraction. We suggest drying your filament and adjusting the hole compensation settings based on your specific conditions.
