Also commonly referred to as a baiting cage, feed cage, or bait basket, it is a small tool used in fishing to deliver bait precisely, concentrate it in one spot, and release it slowly. By filling the cage with groundbait and casting it to the fishing spot, the bait gradually disperses, attracting fish to the area.
