🏔️ A Bit of History and Fun Facts

Chukchi Roots: The breed was developed by the nomadic Chukchi tribe in Siberia thousands of years ago. They were multipurpose dogs—they pulled sleds, guarded homes, and kept children warm at night.

The Great Nome Dog Sled Race (1925): The most famous moment came when a diphtheria epidemic broke out in the small town of Nome, Alaska. Dog sled teams were the only hope for delivering the medicine. The huskies (led by the famous dog Balto and the even more famous, yet lesser-known, Togo) covered over 1,000 km in record time under Arctic conditions and saved the town.
