The wet-paper launcher, a childhood toy popular among those born in the 1980s and 1990s, has been perfectly recreated in bamboo- or golden-bamboo-inspired versions. Compared with models printed from other materials, this version boasts superior pressure resistance, slow deflation, and reduced susceptibility to cracking. To use it, first load wet paper into the top chamber until it reaches the bottom; then add a second layer of wet paper, and finally push down on the plunger to eject the paper, producing a sound reminiscent of firecrackers—though much softer. The device uses compressed air to propel the front portion of the wet paper outward, making it safe to operate since the ejected material is moist. This was likely a cherished childhood toy for many born in the ’80s and ’90s. Note that the handle is designed to accommodate either an iron rod or wooden chopsticks; if using chopsticks, they should be whittled to the appropriate length. After inserting the rod or chopstick into the handle, align it with the tube and trim the length so that it falls about 6–7 millimeters short of the tube’s end. This setup can also serve as an educational tool for demonstrating compressed-air principles.
