  • Exhaust Duct

The FDM printer has been enclosed in a sealed cabinet, with an exhaust fan installed to vent the fumes generated during printing. The enclosure also features sealed windows—otherwise, it becomes unusable on rainy days or when the air conditioner is running. A 10 cm exhaust duct was configured, and the connection port was threaded several times to ensure a secure, tight fit.

This setup works best for windows that can be slid open from either side. The upper portion of the window can be sealed using TPU material paired with hook-and-loop fastener tape, allowing for easy ventilation while keeping the printer environment contained.
