Do you have a bunch of cut up addressable LED strips around, and have no idea what to do with it?
Do you also have time and filament to spare?

A project that will put your soldering skills to the test, as well as your printers stamina. A digital fireplace that can't burn your house down (if done properly). AND, because I was an idiot and didnt turn off top layer, your fire will look even better! (the dark spots you see on top is 5 layers of top, but it has been corrected).
You can use any addressable LED controller, just stuff it inside and put a fire preset. ESP32 and a C3 Super mini is best, because you can go here: https://install.wled.me/ and have an Alexa/Siri/Google voice controlled fire pit!

The brain behind my operation is an ESP 32 C3 Super Mini, and I included everything you need inside the project file (except a mount for the C3, because I messed it up).
Rectangular holes in the base are there to put your strips:

The afore mentioned LED strip guides can be printed and superglued to the main base (30/60 and 144 LED per meter variants included), the reason I did that is because there is no way of knowing what type of LEDs you got, could be thin, fat, slim so this way there is more interoperability.
Be warned, you need to have basic knowledge of soldering and how to wire LED's. Mountain of tutorials out there, and they will explain better than I. If there is some interest in this, I will give it my best shot though! Meanwhile, you can look at this video and in under 9 minutes, you will be a WLED expert:
I can give you some basic tips…
Rule number one: FLUX is king, without it, you can't solder!
https://shorturl.at/0VRHP Costs like 1 euro, and it will save you a lot of headache.
Easy: slather flux, heat the metal and touch the soldering wire.
Let me know if you run into any issues and have questions!
