China Zun is located in Plot Z15, the core area of the East Third Ring Road Business District (CBD) in Chaoyang District, Beijing, and stands as the city’s tallest landmark building. The project was developed with an investment of 24 billion RMB by CITIC Group, breaking ground on July 29, 2013, and achieving full roof completion on August 18, 2017. China Zun covers a site area of 11,500 square meters, with a total floor area of 437,000 square meters. The building rises to a height of 528 meters, featuring 108 above-ground floors and 8 underground levels, capable of accommodating up to 12,000 office workers. Its architectural design draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese ritual vessel “zun,” embodying the concept of “heaven round, earth square.” The structure tapers upward in a gracefully curving form while gradually widening toward the top, resulting in a distinctive hyperbolic silhouette that exudes both solemnity and elegance.
