The Micro Sampler (or TMS), is the Doctors's 964 fll team official research project for the 2025 submerged season. This repository will not be finished, due to low manpower (3 people 1 engineer), boughet, and time (we are working on our high school degrees). also, some of the material has hebrew text, and we don't have the time to translate it all.

We have put so much effort into that project and we demand that if you make it/ progress/ use it for research on it you will credit us in a clear way.

TMS is a device which allows researches to sample the sea surface micro layer (60um) aka the first water layer of the sea.

But first why? thit micro layers contain gasses that are mixed with the air above it and micro- organisms. also, you can see how much pollution there is in layer that everybody goes through when they enter the water, and it goes the other way around, meaning that all rain water were vaporised from that layer.

Now how does our design work? it is based on the the principle of surface tantion. in the base of it, it has a plate with hole in it, and those plates create tiny water bubbles that are made from those layers (like in the pics) image (apart from the first layer, there are others that are going up in thickness the deeper you go) image

After the bubbles are created, we cutting them and sweeping them to a collection slot on the plate (like in the pic).
