This is a precision-designed replacement plug for the interior tailgate panel of a BMW X3. If you’ve lost the original plastic cover, this 3D-printed version is designed to snap perfectly into place, restoring the clean, finished look of your trunk's interior.

Recommended Print Settings

To achieve the best results and ensure the part survives the heat inside a car, please use the following settings:

Material: PETG (Highly recommended over PLA due to its heat resistance and flexibility for the clips).

Layer Height: 0.12mm (Use 0.12mm for the first layer as well to maintain precision).

Build Plate: Textured PEI Sheet.

Pro Tip: Printing the face of the plug directly on a textured PEI plate creates a matte, grainy finish that mimics the OEM automotive plastic texture perfectly.

Infill: 100%

Supports: Might not be required if oriented with the flat face on the build plate and if your printer has high overhang capabilities. Otherwise just use classic supports and "touching buildplate only" unselected

Installation

Simply align the clips with the opening in the tailgate panel and press firmly until it clicks.
