• Desktop Pen Holder

This artistically inspired 3D-printed wave-patterned pen holder—also suitable as a small vase—is a creative work that seamlessly blends parametric design with modern manufacturing techniques.

Design and Visual Highlights

The organic wave-shaped form features a parametrically generated, pleated wave texture, free of harsh edges. Its irregular wave-like contours and undulating surfaces create ever-changing light-and-shadow effects from every angle, imbuing the piece with an inherent sense of fluid motion and rhythm.

Exquisite Gradient Satin Finish: Printed using gradient filament that mimics the silky sheen of satin, transitioning smoothly from light brown (champagne) at the top to teal-green at the base. When illuminated, the surface reflects a lustrous, satin‑like glow, further accentuating the three-dimensional depth of the pleats and lending the object an elegant “flowing light” effect.

Multi‑Purpose Functionality: Beyond holding brushes and stationery, it doubles as a petite vase for dried or fresh cut flowers, making it a distinctive artistic accent for your desk or entryway.

Craftsmanship and Details

3D Printing Process: This piece was crafted using FDM 3D printing, a technique capable of effortlessly reproducing intricate organic curved forms—effects that would be extremely difficult to achieve through traditional hand‑crafted ceramics.

Practical Structure: The overall shape is a softly rounded cylinder with a flat, stable base. Meanwhile, the wave‑like texture enhances the structural integrity of the pen holder, ensuring it remains resistant to deformation.
