This is a new improved version of my printed micromanipulator: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6641450
If you are not familiar with micromanipulators those are devices designed to do very precise manipulation under microscopes.
Compared to the previous design, this new version includes a switchable magnetic base. The yellow lever on the device base controls the magnet. I also redesigned the knobs to use knurling and increase there size, allowing more precise control. The probe tip holder system is also redesigned to make sure that tightening it doesn't cause the tip to rotate.
Detailed assembly instructions and a bill of materials are available on instructable:
https://www.instructables.com/Build-a-3D-Printed-Micromanipulator-V2-with-a-Swit/
To build this device you will need: 3mm metallic rods of various lengths, 12mm wide 3mm thick cylindrical magnets, 12mm wide paramagnetic washers, 3x 55mm long M3 bolts, 8x 12-15mm M3 bolts with nuts and 40mm long 7mm OD 0.5 to 0.7mm wire diameter springs. Consult the instructable for more detailed descriptions.
