Alphys is the awkward, anime-loving royal scientist from Undertale, brilliant but riddled with self-doubt, hiding behind her lab coat and a past she'd rather not talk about. 

 

She's also one of the most beloved characters in the game thanks to her relationship with Undyne and her surprisingly real portrayal of anxiety.
