This ox‑horn-shaped jue cup is a modern reinterpretation of Shang and Zhou dynasty bronze ritual vessels, seamlessly blending timeless elegance with practical functionality.

The jue was a ceremonial drinking vessel cherished by China’s ancient aristocracy, symbolizing status and ritual propriety. This design features an ox head as the spout, faithfully recreating the traditional long spout and single‑ear configuration of the classic jue. The cup’s body is adorned with intricate motifs—such as swirling taotie patterns and animal-face designs—classic hallmarks of Shang and Zhou artistry, bringing the refined aesthetics of three millennia ago within easy reach.

Crafted using precision FDM 3D printing with fine‑grained PLAD material, the matte, monochromatic finish captures the warm, tactile quality of ancient bronzes, while the meticulously carved patterns emerge with striking depth and dimensionality. Whether displayed as an elegant desktop accent or used as a serving vessel for tea ceremonies or floral arrangements, this piece effortlessly marries historical charm with contemporary utility.
