This resin minotaur miniature depicts a fearsome beast captured in a dynamic attack pose, wielding a massive axe ready to crush anything in its path. The model features a high level of detail, showcasing powerful musculature, sharply defined horns, and a savage facial expression that conveys raw aggression on the battlefield. Designed with ease of printing and painting in mind, the miniature includes clean shapes and well-defined surfaces, making it suitable for both beginner and advanced painters. It is recommended to apply a primer before painting to ensure better paint adhesion and a more durable finish. Its scale is fully compatible with Warhammer-style tabletop games, allowing it to be used as a standalone monster, an enemy champion, or part of a newly created squad. Perfect for skirmishes, narrative campaigns, or display, this minotaur adds strength, personality, and a commanding presence to any fantasy army.
1. Layer Settings (The Core of Quality)
Layer Height: mm (30 microns)
At 0.03mm, layer lines become almost invisible to the naked eye, capturing the skin and armor textures perfectly.
- Bottom Layer Count: 6
- Transition Layer Count: 10 (Linear)
2. Exposure Settings
Exposure Time:
DLP technology is efficient, but at 0.03mm, you need to find the sweet spot. If the fine spikes on the armor look "round," decrease by 0.1s. If they fail, increase by 0.1s.
- Bottom Exposure Time:
Rest Time After Retract (Light-off Delay):
Crucial for detail. This allows the resin to reach a complete standstill before the light hits it, preventing blurry details.
3. Motion & Speed (Protecting Fine Details)
- Lift Distance: 3 + 4 mm (Two-stage motion)
- Retract Distance: 4 + 3 mm
- Bottom Lift Speed: 60 mm/min (Slow and steady to prevent suction rip)
- Lifting Speed: 65 mm/min
- Retract Speed: 150 mm/min
4. Orientation & Supports Recommendation
- Orientation: Tilt the Minotaur backward at a 35° to 45° angle. This moves the "suction" away from the large chest area and hides support marks on the back and under the tail.
- Support Type: Use "Light" or "Fine" supports for the face and fur details. Use "Medium" supports for the base and the heavy axe.
- Anti-Aliasing: * Gray Level: 0
- Blurry Distance: 2
- Note: On DLP printers, AA is often less necessary than on LCD, but a small amount can help smooth the curved horns.
