A prop of Gustave's mechanical arm. It is assembled with superglue and has lines and grooves that facilitate easy painting, I consider myself a very bad prop painter, but with some clear coat, acrylic markers and some patina grease ( you can use any shoe polish, it will do the same job)
Painting tips:
Seal the print first, be it with black primer or a clear coat. This is to prevent the acrylic paint getting in between layers and messing up the paint job.
Paint teh edges and grooves using the images as a reference
Paint the ball joint BEFORE gluing it… I realised I did not paint it and its very hard to get access to it now, sooooo i left it as is
When finished, another clear coat, I did the top first and then the bottom. Spray it from 15 cm away in one pass and leave it to dry, repeat 2 or 3 times
