The model features a support-free, monolithic design that can be used straight out of the printer, requiring no assembly or gluing.

The intricate “pan-chang” knot texture is seamlessly integrated with the key-ring hole, embodying auspicious symbolism while also serving the practical function of a daily-use key holder.

It is suitable for FDM printers, and we recommend using traditional festive filaments such as red or gold. Printing takes approximately 30–40 minutes to produce a small yet exquisite piece of Chinese-style accessory.

As a quintessential example of traditional Chinese hand-weaving art, the Chinese knot carries profound cultural meanings of reunion, good fortune, and peace.

However, traditional Chinese knot-making has a high skill threshold and is difficult to produce sturdy, durable small everyday items.

The designer aimed to leverage the “what you imagine is what you get” advantage of 3D printing to transform this classic symbol into a portable keychain.

Through repeated optimization of the knot’s hollow structure and wall thickness, they achieved the feasibility of support-free, monolithic printing—preserving the continuous looped beauty of the pan-chang knot while ensuring the structural strength of the keyring itself.

The original intention was to move traditional culture beyond mere festive decoration and integrate it into daily life in a more modern, more convenient way.
