Another delightful slice of absurd reality from the Grand Rat Prix series. This time, there are no fights, no romance, no territorial drama—just three rats who have clearly reached the end of their rat careers and are now lying peacefully still.

Two are fairly standard casualties. But the mother rat, despite being unmistakably and irrevocably dead, still has a newborn pup desperately trying to nurse from her lifeless body, as if pure determination might magically reboot her like a crashed device.

This piece serves as a wonderfully dark reminder that in the world of rats, “the end” is sometimes just a temporary pause—while life continues to stubbornly, awkwardly push forward.
