Vase design : Nudo model

 

Ideal for home decoration, as well as being a useful vase to place flowers or whatever you wish.

Inspired by a curious geometry reminiscent of the shape of a knot.

Its parametric shape has been designed in Rhinon3D using Grasshopper.

 

3D printing settings

For the model you have to indicate the following parameters in the slicer program (I used Cura):

  • Filling: 0%

  • No support

  • No adhesion

  • Layer height: 0.2 mm

  • Top layers: 0

  • Lower layers: 5 (minimum)

  • Wall line count: 3 (minimum)

  • Nozzle size: 0.4 mm

  • Nozzle temperature: 200ºC

  • Shrinkage: Yes

*To increase tightness Increase the number of walls, decrease the printing speed and increase the layer height.

**You can also try the vase mode if you have a larger nozzle (>0.4mm), increasing the temperature (+5°C) and decreasing the print speed (<30 mm/s).
