Plant Stem Support (Holder) v2

A simple printable support designed to help weak or leaning plant stems stay upright without tying or staking.

The support slides around the plant stem and rests on the soil surface, gently holding the stem in position while still allowing it to grow naturally.

This is Version 2 of the design (after many small iterations), with improvements to support thicker stems and make printing easier.

The curved holder supports the stem without squeezing it, allowing the plant to grow while remaining supported.

Improvements in V2

• Larger arch opening for thicker stems
• Improved central support rod option
• Minor geometry tweaks from earlier iterations for easier printing and stability

(Yes… it took more than two versions to get here.)

Printing Notes

• No supports required
• Prints well at 0.20 mm layer height
• PLA or PETG both work well, but I would recommend PETG
• Low infill (10–15%) is usually sufficient

Because these print quickly, it’s easy to print several sizes for different plants.
