I had to glue the broken part together using a soldering iron, measure it carefully, design it in Tinkercad, and after several rounds of testing, I finally arrived at this solution. So far, I haven’t needed to replace it—27.9.25—(On 22/09/25, I took the measurements required to heat-insert the plastic insertion nut (the golden nut), the Allen screw that generates the tension, and the small pulley equipped with bearings that drives the X-axis timing belt.)

I’d be grateful for a “Make” and a comment if this resource proves as useful to you as it has been to me. To date, this is the only component I’ve broken due to excessive tension applied to the wheel.

Instructions:

First, I gripped the Allen screw with pliers and heated it using a torch; then I inserted it upside-down (from top to bottom, where the insertion nut belongs) to ensure the exact dimensions so it could fit snugly beneath its intended installation point. For the plastic insertion nut, I used heat to install it: I placed the nut on the tip of the soldering iron and, with just a bit of pressure, carefully pushed it into the hole I’d created in the design. Once the part cooled down, I tightened everything securely—and it was ready to install!
