Apple recently unveiled a limited‑edition “Hikawa Phone Grip & Stand (MagSafe Compatible)”
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Apple’s commitment to accessible design, Apple has specially launched this stand, meticulously crafted by Los Angeles–based designer Bailey Hikawa.
This innovative product features a magnetic attachment that securely snaps onto any iPhone equipped with MagSafe technology. Designer Hikawa explains that the grip is effortlessly removable yet doubles as a versatile stand, offering two distinct viewing angles—both portrait and landscape orientations.
Hikawa also shares that during the design process, he directly engaged with individuals living with disabilities, ultimately creating an ergonomically optimized grip designed to support people with a wide range of physical challenges, including those affecting muscle strength, dexterity, and hand control.

This is a limited‑edition stand, and I’ve created a replica based on the official images, giving everyone the chance to experience it for themselves.

It requires no supports and no adhesive—though printing with TPU yields a noticeably smoother, more tactile finish.

You’ll need to purchase either a magnetic ring or double‑sided tape separately to use the stand. If you’re not using a phone case, opt for the magnetic ring; if you are, double‑sided tape is the better choice. Personally, I recommend using the magnetic ring for a more secure and seamless fit.
