Student Encouragement Points Card – Teaching Tools
Used to recognize and motivate students, allowing them to redeem points for toys—such as 3D‑printed items.
As a financially strapped classroom teacher with limited event funding, 3D‑printed toys offer an incredibly cost‑effective solution. What’s more, students absolutely love these 3D‑printed toys—they’re always eager to grab one, often scooping up every single item in no time.
Originally, I planned to purchase the points cards online—but then I thought: why not make them myself? That way, all I’d need to invest is the electricity costs for my 3D printer. I can earn points through MO activities and then use those points to purchase filament and print the toys.
This approach also gives students a deeper understanding of 3D printing and encourages them to explore this innovative technology firsthand.
