Introduction:

Summer is here, and it’s once again the perfect time to enjoy cold brew and iced drip coffee. I’ve seen plenty of creative DIY iced drip setups online, so I decided to give one a try myself.

The threaded spout is compatible with standard Coca‑Cola and Sprite bottles, and the top features a built‑in compartment that can securely store the bottle cap—perfect for V60, 01, or other filter cups of similar dimensions.

Typical Brewing Guidelines:

• A powder-to-water ratio of 1:8 to 1:10 is recommended—for example, use 30 g of coffee grounds paired with 240–300 g of water, which should be pre‑frozen beforehand;
• Use a medium‑coarse grind suitable for pour-over brewing;
• Place an Italian-style round filter paper—or a custom‑cut filter—atop the coffee bed (optional; this step helps ensure more even water distribution);
• First bloom the coffee bed with 1.5–2 times the total coffee weight in hot water—for instance, if using 30 g of coffee, start with roughly 60 g of hot water;
• Allow the extraction to proceed at room temperature for about 3–4 hours;

• Serve over ice for an instantly refreshing beverage, or refrigerate and let it further develop flavor through secondary fermentation (we recommend consuming within 1–2 days).
