Add a touch of modern elegance to your space with this easy-to-print Ribbed Table Lamp! This design features a stylish, minimalist aesthetic perfect for desks, nightstands, or side tables, and is designed specifically to accommodate a standard E27 hanging pendant lamp socket.

Design Features:

The distinctive lampshade features horizontal ribs (bellows style) that create a beautiful visual texture and help diffuse light softly. The lamp consists of two separate parts – the lampshade and the base – making it simple to print without complex supports. It is designed for E27 Socket Compatibility, with the base specifically featuring an opening intended for a common E27 hanging pendant style lamp holder/socket. These sockets typically feature a threaded section (often M10x1) that passes through the base and is secured from underneath with a retaining ring/nut. Assembly is easy: simply print both parts, install your E27 socket, and place the shade onto the base. The design is also customizable, allowing you to print the base and shade in different colors to match your decor!

Printing Recommendations:

For materials, the lampshade is recommended to be printed in a light-colored or translucent material like PETG (for better heat resistance) or Natural/White PLA to enhance light diffusion. The base can be printed in any color of PLA, PETG, or other standard filaments. A layer height of 0.2mm is recommended for a good balance of speed and quality, though a finer layer height can be used for a smoother look on the ribs. Importantly, no supports are required for either part when printed in the standard orientation (base flat on the bed, shade open side up).

Regarding Lampshade Specifics, this shade is potentially ideal for printing in Vase Mode (Spiralize Outer Contour) for a faster print with no seam. If using Vase Mode, ensure sufficient bottom layers (e.g., 3-5) and use a suitable wall thickness/line width (e.g., 0.6mm - 0.8mm with a 0.4mm nozzle), always checking your slicer preview carefully. If not using Vase Mode, print with 0% infill and 1-2 walls (perimeters) to maximize light transmission. For the Base Specifics, 15-25% infill (Grid or Gyroid works well) is recommended for good stability and weight, along with 2-3 walls. The socket opening is designed for the threaded part of a typical E27 hanging socket; it is crucial to measure your specific E27 socket and its retaining ring/nut before printing. Dimensions can vary slightly, so you may need to slightly scale the base model (e.g., by 1-3%) or modify the opening diameter in CAD software to ensure a snug and secure fit for your particular hardware.

Required Hardware (Not Included - You Need to Source These):

You will need one standard E27 Lamp Holder / Socket (Hanging Pendant Style), the type that comes with an external thread and a retaining ring/nut for mounting through a hole. You also need one LED Bulb with an E27 Base; use ONLY E27 LED bulbs, as incandescent bulbs produce too much heat and pose a fire hazard. Choose a low-wattage LED bulb (e.g., 3-7W). Finally, you need a standard lamp Power Cable with Switch and an appropriate plug for your region.

Assembly:

First, print the lampshade and the base. Safely wire your E27 socket to the power cable according to manufacturer instructions and local electrical codes; consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about wiring. Feed the cable through the base opening from the top, insert the threaded part of the E27 socket into the opening, and secure the socket firmly from underneath the base using its retaining ring/nut. Screw in the E27 LED bulb, then place the lampshade onto the base. Finally, plug in and enjoy your new lamp!

Safety Note:

Always use low-heat E27 LED bulbs. Never leave the lamp unattended for extended periods, especially during initial testing. Ensure all electrical connections are secure, insulated, and that the socket is firmly mounted in the base.
