This square pyramid vortex passthrough is part of my BEST Impossible Vortex series—one of my personal favorites. It’s designed to be highly functional while keeping filament usage minimal, making it a cost-effective and satisfying print. The geometry is clean, the motion is smooth, and the overall experience is one I hope you’ll enjoy as much as I do.

The design is optimized for ease of printing, with no overhangs and no need for supports or brims. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable, visually striking fidget or desk piece.

Print Settings:

• Infill: 0% (the model is fully self-supporting)
• Perimeters: 3 for added strength and surface quality
• Layer Height: 0.2 mm recommended for balance between speed and detail
• Wall Loops: 2–3 depending on your printer’s precision
• Top/Bottom Layers: 4–5 for a clean finish
• Filament: PLA recommended; PETG also works well for added durability
• Supports: Not required
• Brim/Raft: Not needed
• Print Speed: 45–60 mm/s for best surface quality
• Cooling: Enable part cooling for PLA; moderate cooling for PETG

Advanced Tip for PrusaSlicer Users:
For improved tolerances, go to Print Settings > Advanced Settings > XY Size Compensation and set it to -0.2. This adjustment helps ensure a smoother fit and cleaner movement between parts.
