This is an alternative for the V6 adapter part for the Triangle Labs / Phaeton Dragon hotend when using the Bondtech BMG on a Prusa MK3.

The Dragon can be bolted in place to offer rigid mounting, one benefit being one handed nozzle changes. However, when using the V6 adapter for compatibility with existing parts, you lose that as it is still grove mounted.

The front of Bondtech's BMG SLS parts includes a small void by the V6 grove, beneath the stepper motor. By adding a lip to the V6 adapter up the edge, this provides a firm edge to keep the hotend in place when performing nozzle changes.

This adapter isn't truly rigid as it only has one edge making a solid connection. However it is rigid enough to handle the 2.5Nm of torque for tightening nozzles.

I've uploaded a version for M2x3x3.5mm threaded inserts and one with M2 thread in the part itself. I've personally used the threaded insert version on my printers.

The Customizer can be used to alter the options, either for a different sized threaded insert or to change threads in the print itself. I have not personally printed and tested it with threads, so let me know if you have any issues. See print settings and post-printing for more info.

NOTE: Be sure to still install the PTFE tube and collet. They're not shown in the picture just for demonstration.
