Kazoo 2025: the easy and fun musical instrument

A musical instrument suitable for everyone
No musical knowledge is required. When you sing into it, it produces the typical buzzing sound caused by the vibration of the membrane.

 

Make the sound membrane yourself using membrane retention discs by gluing transparent kitchen film, cutting a circular membrane, inserting it into the body of the kazoo and securing it with the cap. 

Then, without piercing it with a rounded tip, create irregularities in the membrane, various dots, until you achieve the sound you like.

 

The membrane should not be too tight in order to produce the right vibration.
Play your kazoo to test and find the right tension for the membrane.

Do not blow into it, but sing into the opening, causing the membrane to vibrate and produce the characteristic sound.

 

No sound from the kazoo?
Sing, don't blow into the kazoo, it's not a flute.
Check the tension of the membrane to make sure it's not too loose or too tight.
Try adjusting it, repositioning it, or replacing it.
