PTFE tube collet or push-fit collet for the Flexible Filament (TPU) adapter to the CANVAS of the Centauri Carbon and Centauri Carbon 2.

This model is a PTFE Bowden collet designed for the modification of Elegoo’s official TPU adapter from Printables created by @joncruz. Since I couldn’t find any compatible printable collet that worked properly either with this modification or with the original adapter, I decided to design my own.

I’m including both versions. Both adapters function identically; the only difference is that the official one has a larger tube diameter (ECAS04), so most non-pneumatic collets don’t fit well because they’re too small. @joncruz’s modification is smaller, but it’s designed for a larger diameter than the collets I could find for printing.

The adapter version I’m using is the modified one, but I also tested the official Elegoo adapter, so I’ve designed a compatible collet for each version.

I’m also providing the Fusion 360 file (.f3d), with user-defined parameters, in case you want to adapt it to other sizes for different applications. Keep in mind that this part must respect both inner and outer diameters, leaving very little room for modification without weakening the fit. I’ve also added the .step format, if that’s more useful.

The default print profile is Elegoo’s standard setting for PETG on the Centauri Carbon, since the piece’s legs are fragile and require a durable filament.

To attach it, I used a thick clip because I wanted to add a splash of color to make it stand out (a thinner clip would work just as well). The clip can be printed with whichever decorative filament you prefer, as it doesn’t need to be particularly strong. In my case, I used a rosy PLA PRO.
