Painting and Finish

Matte black PLA serves as the ideal foundation, ensuring the deep recesses of the mane and inner mouth remain pitch black for natural shadow contrast. The finish was created entirely using dry brushing techniques.

The voluminous mane was brushed with copper and warm bronze to give each strand a rich metallic luster. The face and brow received delicate strokes of bronze and gold to define the muscular contours and wrinkles. The sharp fangs were picked out in crisp white and silver for maximum contrast against the mouth cavity. The lower hook was dry brushed with silver and dark graphite tones for a weathered, forged metal or horn appearance. A tiny dot of gold in the eyes completes the intense, regal stare.
